Veterinary Assistant

Karlee

Karlee is one of our Veterinary Assistants! Karlee was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. After graduating from Bloomington High School North, she began her studies to become a human nurse, when she decided to pursue animal nursing! Karlee joined our team in the summer of 2019 and is currently taking courses through Penn Foster to help her become a veterinary technician. Karlee has two giant lapdogs: Cooper, a German Shepherd-Doberman Mix, who is the “biggest baby” and Moses, a Great Dane-Bluetick Coonhound mix, who wakes Karlee up every morning at 6:00 am with his squeaky toys- his favorite! Karlee is very close with her mother and father and loves spending time with her grandparents, with whom she eats lunch every day.

When Karlee isn’t caring for patients at our hospital or studying, she is involved with the Ellettsville “Jeeps Only” club and enjoys going on walks by the lake and to the dog park with Cooper and Moses, sewing, and going to the gym. Karlee’s favorite thing about working at our hospital is that she learns something new every single day and is able to create relationships with patients and their owners so she can help make their visits great. Working with animals has always been a passion of Karlee’s and she is so happy she gets to do what she loves every day!
