I was born and raised in Ogilville near Columbus, Indiana. I attended Purdue University and graduated with a Bachelors in Animal Science Bioscience. I currently live in Hoosier National Forest near Norman, Indiana.
We have 3 dogs: a senior Border Collie named Heidi, a tri-pawed Border Collie named Kaia, and a LGD named Two-Socks. We have 2 cats: Penny and Kitten (who is no longer a kitten). We also have 2 horses: Sapphire, a grade QH mare and Arabelle , a registered QH mare. We also have 60+ chickens and are constantly acquiring more livestock for our 40 acre hobby farm.
Outside of my our animals, my family consists of my boyfriend Ryan and our 4 year old daughter.
I also enjoy backpacking and hiking as well as spending time with my animals and in my garden on our hobby farm. I also love to craft (paint, draw, cake decorate, you name it). I also go antique/flea market shopping.
Outside of being around animals all day, I love the science behind what we do and see in this field. There is always something to learn and each day is unique in what it brings.
